The original masking order was placed on Septemby Allison Beam, Pennsylavia Acting Secretary of Health, but has been overturned by the Commonwealth Court. This is because the DTSD Board of Directors had already voted to require masking as a part of the Health and Safety Plan which was filed with the PA Department of Education and the PA Department of Health. DTSD will keep the mandate in place until a new revised plan is presented and approved.
